Section 44 in The Orissa Forest Contract Rules, 1966
44. Assignment of Forest Contract.
- All forest produce removed from a contract area in accordance with these rules shall be at the absolute disposal of the forest contractor. A forest contractor may assign any forest produce not removed, but such assignment shall not be valid unless it is made with the previous sanction in writing the forest officer who executed the contract, who shall have power to refuse sanction, if in his opinion, the assignment is likely to be prejudicial to the interests of the Government or to the public revenues.
