Section 40(1) in The Meghalaya Co-operative Societies Rules
(1)The Executive Officer shall be indemnified out of the funds of the co-operative society for all costs, charges, travelling and other expenses incurred by him in the discharge of his duties in conducting its business and no suit or legal proceeding whatever shall lie against him in respect of anything done in good faith or intended to be done in accordance with the powers conferred on him.
