Section 2(1) in Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (Forum for Redressal of Grievances of the Consumers and Ombudsman) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2023
(1) The term of the Ombudsman shall be for a period of five (5) years or till the age of sixty seven (67) years, whichever is earlier, from the date he enters the office. Provided that the tenure of the existing Ombudsman who has not attained the age of 67 years, shall now be for a period of five years or till the age of 67 years, whichever is earlier and thereafter he/she shall pply afresh for re-appointment/extension. It will be the sole discretion of the Commission to re-appoint/extend the tenure of the existing Ombudsman after completion of five (5) years.
