Section 27(2) in The U.P. Participatory Irrigation Management Act, 2009
(2)A water users' association may also raise funds through the following sources:(i)income from the properties and the assets in the area of operation of the irrigation system with approval of competent canal officer.(ii)penalty and compounding of fees.(iii)contributions from landholders.(iv)donations.(v)interest on deposits.(vi)borrowings.(vii)fees for services.(viii)grants from State or Central Government.(ix)income from such other source, as may be prescribed.
