(1)This Act may be called the Orissa Prohibition Act, 1956.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Orissa.(3)Sections 1 and 3 shall come into force at once and the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force in respect of such of the intoxicating liquors and drugs and in such area or areas and on such date or dates as the State Government may, by notification, appoint.
