(3)The responsibility of the Excise Officers does not however, terminate with the arrival of the officers of the police department on the scene or the transfer of cases to the local police. The departmental officers should place all available information papers and incrementing articles at the disposal of the police, should give all assistance in their power in the furtherance of investigation and prosecution, and should watch the proceedings in Court.
