(a)the construction, repair and maintenance of all public roads in the Panchayat Union which are classified as Panchayat Union roads and of all bridges, culverts, road-dams and cause-ways on such roads;(aa)[ the excavation, repair and maintenance of tanks and the construction of water works for the supply of water for drinking, washing and bathing purposes.
