(1)Subject to such inquiry and restrictions, as may be specified by the State Government or any officer authorised for the purpose, the Superintendent of Police may, by public notice, temporarily reserve, for any public purpose, any street or other public place and prohibit the public from entering the area so reserved, except on such conditions as may be specified.
