40. Penalty for consumption in chemist's shop etc.
- 1. If any chemist, druggist, apothecary or a dispensary allows any intoxicant which has not been bonafide medicated for medicinal purposes to be consumed on his business premises by any person not employed in his business, he shall be liable to imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or to fine which may extend to three thousand rupees or to both.
