Title: Request to communicate the displeasure to the Embassy of USA over its interference in the affairs of the State regarding collection of information for killing in Nanur.
SHRI LAKSHMAN SETH (TAMLUK): Sir, I want to raise an important issue. I want to draw the attention of hon. Prime Minister to a matter of great concern. Sir, a few days back, the US Consul General sent two persons to collect information from Nanur regarding the killing. It is nothing but an interference in the affairs of the State. According to the autobiography of Moyriham, former US Ambassador the U.S. Government used two times money power to keep the Communists away from power in West Bengal and in Kerala. So, it is an interference with the sovereignty of the country. I request the hon. Prime Minister to communicate the displeasure to the Embassy of USA. This is nothing but an intervention of US in the affairs of our country. Our sovereignty will be jeopardised. So, it is a matter of great concern. I, therefore, draw the attention of the hon. Prime Minister to this issue.
