Section 267A(5) in The West Bengal Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989
(5)Any person failing to get the licence renewed within the period mention-ed in sub-rule (4) shall be required to pay a fine of fifty rupees per week (irrespective of the number of days in a week during which the licence is not renewed) commencing from the date immediately after the date of expiry of the validity of the licence, subject to maximum of five hundred rupees.
