Section 4(1) in Tamil Nadu Tamil Learning Act, 2006
(1)The Government may, be notification, appoint any officer of the Education Department not below the rank of District Educational Officer to be competent authority for the purposes of carrying out the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder and different competent authorities may be appointed for different areas.
