Section 252(1) in The Naval Ceremonial, Conditions Of Service And Miscellaneous Regulations, 1964
(1)When members of the regular Army and the Air Force or of either of these forces are serving with members of the Indian Navy or Indian Naval Reserve Forces under conditions specified in sub-regulation (2), the members of the regular Army and the Air Force may, under section 7 of the Navy Act, 1957 exercise all powers of command other than powers of punishment, as if they were members of the Naval Forces of corresponding rank and seniority.
