(1)This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1961.(2)It extends to the whole of Madhya Pradesh.(3)[ It shall apply to the smaller urban area or a transitional area, as the case may be, from the date on which they are notified as such under Section 5.] [Inserted by M.P.
