Section 14(1) in The Punjab Sugarcane (Regulation of Purchase and Supply) Act, 1953
(1)The Government may, for maintaining supplies by order, regulate -(a)the distribution, sale or purchase of any cane in any assigned area;(b)purchase of cane in any area other than an assigned area; and(c)the price of cane in assigned area.
