Section 17(1)(a) in Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders and Cable Television Network (Regulation) Act, 1984

(a)to enter, if necessary by force, whether by day or night, with such assistants as he considers necessary, any premises, which he has reason to suspect, are being used for purposes connected with the exhibition of films on the Television screen through Video Cassette Recorder [or through Cable Television Network] [Inserted by the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Amendment Act, 1991 (Tamil Nadu Act 44 of 1991).] or keeping a Video Library in contravention of the provisions of this Act;
