ORDER
1. Let this letter petition be registered as Original Application.
2. Perused the report of learned Registrar dated 08.04.2024 with respect to a complaint/letter dated 21.02.2024 received by post on 24.02.2024 from one Mr. Maruti M. Kadam, R/o.- Room No.301, New Rahul Nagar, Jai Shastri Nagar, Mulund Colony, Mulund (W), Mumbai- 400 082, alleging therein that respondent No.1- Mrs. Apurva Natwar Parikh & Company Pvt. Ltd., Address- 96, Chembur- Mankhurd Link Road, Mumbai- 400 043, is raising construction of a private school building at CTS No.29/6, Mulund(W), Mumbai within one km. of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, which is an eco-sensitive area, where such kind of construction is prohibited. Further, it is mentioned that due to ongoing construction therein, huge noise pollution is happening.
3. Prima facie, we find substance in the complaint and allegations made therein. Therefore, we deem it appropriate to call for a report from the Deputy Forest/Conservator of Forest Officer, Thane, Maharashtra as well as from the Member Secretary, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) with respect to the truthfulness of this complaint made to us, which shall be got verified after sending a responsible Officer to visit the spot.
4. This report shall be submitted by the above-mentioned authority by e-mail at [email protected] preferably in the form of searchable PDF/ OCR Support PDF and not in the form of Image PDF, within a period of four weeks.
5. A copy of this order along-with the copy of complaint be sent to the above-mentioned authority for compliance as above.
