ORDER
1. In this original application, the applicant has raised the grievance that Respondent No. 7 is carrying out illegal sand mining in an area not covered by Environmental Clearance (EC) and also doing instream mining.
2. Counsel for the Applicant has referred to the photographs enclosed along with IA No. 216/2024 to show that the instream mining is being undertaken by Respondent No. 7.
3. Inspite of the service of notice, no one is present for Respondent No. 7.

4. Mr. Ankit Verma, learned Counsel for the State of UP submits that he will obtain instructions on behalf of Respondents No. 2, 5 and 6 and file the response within four weeks.
5. In the meanwhile, Respondent No. 6, District Magistrate, Siddharthnagar and Respondent No. 5, Director, Geology and Mining are directed to ensure that no instream mining in the area concerned takes place and also that Respondent No. 7 carries out the sand mining activity strictly in accordance to the EC issued to it.
