Section 1 in The Punjab Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Control and Regulation) Act, 1994
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Punjab Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Control and Regulation) Act, 1994.(2)It extends to the whole of the State of Punjab.(3)It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.[Note - Date of enforcement., No. S.O.68/P.A.16/S.1/94. - In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Punjab Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Control and Regulation) Act, 1934 (Punjab Act No. 16 of 1994, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to appoint the date the publication of this notification in the Official Gazette as the date on which the said Act shall come into force.] [Published vide Punjab Gazette Legislative Supplement, Part III, dated 11th November, 1994.]
