>Title: Made a references on passing away of Major General Robert G. Williams, Nominated Member, Tenth Lok Sabha on 16th July, 1998. MR. SPEAKER: Hon. Members, I have to inform the House of the sad demise of one of our former colleagues, Maj. Gen. Robert G. Williams. Maj. Gen. R.G. Williams was nominated to the Tenth Lok Sabha to represent the Anglo-Indian community during 1991-96. A veteran of the World War II, Shri Williams served in various responsible positions in Defence Establishments and was awarded the `Param Vishisht Seva Medal'. A leading representative of the Anglo-Indian community, Shri Williams was associated with various Anglo-Indian organisations. He worked relentlessly for the welfare of the Anglo-Indian community. Maj. Gen. R.G. Williams passed away on the 16th July, 1998 at New Delhi at the age of 80. We deeply mourn the loss of this friend and I am sure the House will join me in conveying our condolences to the bereaved family. The House may now stand in silence for a short while as a mark of respect to the memory of the departed soul.
