(1)The Chairman-in-Council may by public notice prohibit the washing of clothes by washermen in pursuance of their calling, within the municipal area except at-(a)public wash-houses or places maintained or provided for the purpose, or(b)such other places as the Chairman-in-Council may appoint for the purpose, if sufficient number of public wash-houses are not maintained or provided.
