(1)The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the State shall take up investigation of offences of a more serious nature or those that may have inter-state or inter-district ramifications, and other complex crimes, including economic crimes as notified by the State Government from time to time and as may be specifically entrusted to it by the Director General of Police in public interest.
