Section 43 in Management and Working of the Forests
43. Defalcation or loss of public money by fraud.
- Whenever any defalcation, or loss of public money or fraud in connection with the revenue from timber or other forest-produce is discovered, the fact should be immediately reported to the local Government and when the matter has been fully inquired into, a further and complete report should be submitted to them of the nature and extent of the loss, showing the errors committed or neglect of Rules by which such loss was rendered possible, and the prospects of effecting a recovery.
