(1)There shall be a Regulatory Committee to be constituted by the State Government for the purpose of monitoring and regulating the working of the University in such manner as may be prescribed.(2)The powers and functions of the Regulatory Committee shall be such as may be prescribed by the State Government.(3)The recommendation of the Regulatory Committee shall be binding on the University.(4)Until such time the Regulatory Committee is constituted, the West Bengal State Council of Higher Education constituted under the provisions of the West Bengal State Council of Higher Education Act, 1994, West Ben.(Act XXXVII of 1994). will function as the Regulator for the University.
