Section 227 in Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920
227. Duty of council in respect of public well or receptacle of stagnant water.
- The municipal council shall maintain in a cleanly condition all wells, tanks and reservoirs which are not private property, and may fill them up or drain them when it appears necessary to do so.
