Section 28(1) in Dangerous Goods (Arrival, Receipt, Transport, Handling and Storage), in Jawaharlal Nehru Port Regulations, 2007
(1)Any person who commits a breach of any regulations shall be liable to pay a penalty of an amount of not exceeding Rupees One Lakh only (Rs. 1,00,000/-) and if the breach continues, a further penalty of Rupees Five Thousand Only (Rs. 5,000) per day or part thereof for period during which the said breach continues. The penalty as aforesaid shall be in addition to the cost of any action that may be taken under applicable port regulations.
