35. Public notice of election.
- On the issue of a notification under section 33 the Returning Officer for the [Member] ['Throughout the Act For Substituted 1. Councillor Member 2. Councillors; Members 3. Division; Ward 4. Divisions; Wards 5. Constituency; Ward 6. Constituencies; Wards']vide Act No.17 of 1994.] shall give public notice of the intended election in Form 7 of Schedule A inviting nominations of candidates for such elections and specifying the place at which the nomination papers are to be delivered. The aforesaid notice shall subject to any general or special directions issued in that behalf by [State Election Commissioner] [Substituted by Act No.25 of 1995.] be published in such manner, in such language or languages and in such places as the Returning Officer thinks fit.
