Section 8(1) in Karnataka Maritime Board Act, 2015
(1)Any vacancy in the office of a member of the Board other than that of the ex-officio member shall be filled as early as possible after the occurrence of such vacancy by appointment of another member:Provided that where any vacancy occurs in the office of any such member within three months preceding the date on which the term of the office of such member expires under section 5, it shall not be filled.
