Section 9(1) in The Lifeboatmen's (Qualifications and Certificates) Rules, 1963
(1)The examination shall be aimed at testing the knowledge of candidates in the theory and practice of launching and handling of lifeboats and in their operation and shall consist of three parts, namely "(a)the equipment to be carried in lifeboats;(b)the operation of swinging out and lowering of boats;(c)the handling of the boat afloat.
