Seventeenth Loksabha > Title: Request to develop railway and road infrastructure, radio station, new airport, ESI hospital and Solar Park in Bellary, Parliamentary Constituency, Karnataka.
*SHRI Y. DEVENDRAPPA (BELLARY): Hon. Chairman, Sir, thank you very much for allowing me to raise some issues pertaining to the important public works of my Lok Sabha constituency Bellary in Karnataka state.
Sir, Hubballi Railway station in Karnataka state, was named after Pujya Siddaroodha Swamiji. So, I request the government that the railway station of Bellari should be upgraded and named after Shri Sharana Sakkare Karadisha.
Sir, there is an urgent need to build an airport in Bellary to cater to the needs of the people of neighboring six districts namely, Raichuru, Koppala, Kurnool, Kadapa, Anantapura and Bellary. The required land has been already allotted for the airport.
Sir, the work on the N.H.63 connecting Gutti, Ankola via Bellary is going at snail’s pace. So, it should be looked into to expedite the completion of national highway projects. Necessary instructions must be issued to the authority concerned.
Sir, Bellary Radio station was the contribution of the late Sushma Swaraj ji and the radio station should be upgraded as it would help to communicate to the people about agriculture crops, fertilizers, especially weather-related information to our farmers.
Bellary is one of the fastest growing cities in Karnataka. There is an urgent need for a railway line between Bellary and Bengaluru via Raidurga.
This railway line would meet the demands of the general public, farmers and traders.

*SHRI Y. DEVENDRAPPA : As far as steel production is concerned, Bellary stands first in the country. In order to meet the healthcare needs of the workers of the steel industries, I request that an ESI hospital with better quality infrastructure should be sanctioned.
I would like to request to set up a Solar Park in Kudligi taluk of Bellari district. I would also request the government to sanction a hospital near Highway to be built at Mariyammanahalli and Hosapet.
Sir, the hon’ble minister for Environment and forest is present here. Through you I would like to bring to his notice that there are a huge number of factories mushrooming everywhere. I request him to ensure that the factory workers are provided with all the facilities as per the provisions made in the law.
