14. Pro Vice-Chancellor.
(1)The Pro Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor on the advice of the Government on such terms and conditions of service, as may be determined by him. He shall not be below the rank of a Professor.(2)The Pro Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a period of three years which may be renewed for not more than one term:Provided that no person shall be appointed to, or continue in the office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor if he has attained the age of sixty-eight years.(3)The Pro Vice-Chancellor shall exercise such duties, as assigned to him by the Vice-Chancellor.
