Section 12(3)(i) in Gujarat Patel Watans Abolition Act, 1961

(i)Where the officer making an award under sub-section (2) is not a Collector appointed under the Code and the amount of such award exceeds five thousand rupees, the award shall not be made without the previous approval of the Collector appointed under the Code.
