Section 12 in The Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
12. Municipal Consultative Committees. -
(1)The Mayor-in-Council may constitute such number of Municipal Consultative Committees and for such periods as it may deem fit.(2)Each such Committee shall consist of not more than five elected members of the Corporation and shall advise the Mayor-in-Council in the discharge of its functions.(3)The manner of transaction of business of a Municipal Consultative Committee shall be such as may be specified by the Mayor-in-Council.
