(2)[ For the purposes of sub-section (1) , the powers of the local authority shall be exercised by ( i) the Municipal Commissioner, in case of a Municipal Corporation, (ii) the Chief Officer, in case of a Municipal Council, (iii) the Chief Executive Officer, in case of a Zilla Parishad, (iv) the Chief Executive Officer, in case of a Cantonment Board, in their respective jurisdiction.] [Added by Maharashtra Act No. 42 of 2017, dated 29.5.2017.]
