Section 61(1) in The Punjab Minor Canals Act, 1905
(1)The [State Government] [Substituted for the word 'Provincial' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] may appoint any person or any class of officials to perform any functions or to exercise any powers, by this Act or the rules made thereunder conferred on or vested in the Collector, Commissioner or such Government.
