192. Building site and construction or reconstruction of buildings.
- No piece of land shall be used as a site for the construction of a building and no building shall be constructed or reconstructed otherwise than in accordance with the provisions of this Part and of any rules or by-laws, made under this Act relating to the use of building-sites or the construction or reconstruction of buildings:Provided that the [State Government] [ The words 'Provincial Government' were substituted for the words 'Local Government' by the Adaptation Order of 1937 and the word 'State' was substituted for 'Provincial' by the Adaptation Order of 1950.] may in respect of all municipalities or with the consent of the municipal council, in respect of any particular municipality or portion thereof, exempt all buildings or any class of buildings from all or any of the provisions of this Chapter or the said rules.
