7. Functions of the Library Advisory Committee.
- The Library Advisory Committee shall perform the following function within its local jurisdiction, namely: -(a)to assist the council in discharge its functions conferred by or under the Act;(b)to make suggestions to the council the matters connected with the administration of the Act and the rules made thereunder;(c)to suggest measures to he taken promotion of use of books and to cultivate the reading habits;(d)to organize and conduct library seminar;(e)to review the working of the respective library and suggest the ways and means for improvement of the administration of library- system;(f)to prepare and suggest the plan improving library service in the areas.
