Section 7 in The Orissa Municipal Corporation Rules, 2004
7. Standing Committee for Education.
- The Standing Committee for Education, Recreation and Culture shall have the powers to recommend to the Mayor measures to be taken with regard to the following matters keeping in view the need of the city vis-a-vis the availability of funds of the Corporation without encroaching Government grants and loans, namely :-(i)Promotion of Cultural, Educational and Aesthetic aspects; and(ii)Provision of Urban amenities and facilities such as Parks, Gardens, Playgrounds etc.
