Section 7(2) in The Assam Agricultural Produce Market Act, 1972
(2)The State Government may establish a separate market committee within the same market area or a part thereof provided it is satisfied that trading in a particulars type of agricultural produce can be regulated only if and when an independent market committee already functioning is unable to undertake regulated trading in that commodity because of its peculiar nature :Provided that not more than one Market Committee shall be established within the same market area or a part thereof for the same type of agricultural produce.
