16. Dean of Student Affairs.
(1)The Dean of Student Affairs shall be a whole-time officer and shall be appointed by the Board in the manner prescribed.(2)The salary and allowances payable to the Dean of Student Affairs shall be as prescribed.(3)The Dean of Student Affairs shall have the following duties, namely:-(a)to make arrangements for the housing of students;(b)to arrange a programme of student counselling;(c)to arrange for the employment of students in accordance with the plans approved by the Vice- Chancellor;(d)to supervise the extra-curricular activities and to look after the needs of students;(e)to assist in the placement of graduates of the University; and(f)to organise and maintain contact with the alumni of the University.
