Section 8 in The Unorganised Workers’ Social Security Act, 2008
8. Record keeping by District Administration.—
The record keeping functions for the purpose of this Act shall be performed by the District Administration:Provided that the State Government may direct that the record keeping function shall be performed by—(a)the District Panchayat in rural areas; and(b)the Urban Local Bodies in urban areas.
