Section 101(1) in The West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973
(1)Subject to other provisions of this section the Sabhapati or Sahakari Sabhapati of a Panchayat Samiti may, at any time, be removed from his office by the majority of the existing members of the Panchayat Samiti, referred to in clause (ii) of sub-section (2) of section 94, expressing their lack of confidence against the Sabhapati or the Sahakari Sabhapati or recording their decision to remove the Sabhapati or the Sahakari Sabhapati, at a meeting specially convened for the purpose.
