                                     ORDER

1. This application seeks direction to remove the fly ash, bottom ash, toxic residue, industrial/ solid waste from the water bodies, villages, drinking wells, agricultural fields and from the Govind Ballabh Pant Sagar 'Rihand Reservoir'.

2. According to the applicant fly ash is entering in Rihand Reservoir and affecting the availability of drinking water to the inhabitants. On 10.04.2020, 6 persons died and the water supply of two Districts got contaminated. There is contamination of mercury in the air, water and soil. The incident happened on account of negligence of Respondent No. 1 1, Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project. Water of many villages is contaminated.

3. It is pointed out that on the same issue the Central Zonal Bench, Bhopal of National Green Tribunal has already passed order dated 29.06.2020 in O.A. No. 31/2020 (CZ), Hiralal Bais v. Reliance Sasan Power P. Ltd. Ors. constituting following Committee to look into the matter and give a report:-

1. Representative of MoEF&CC

2. Representative of CPCB

3. District Collector, Singrouli

4. MP State PCB through its Regional Officer, Singrouli.

In view of above, it will be appropriate that this matter is heard with the pending matter which will stand transferred to the Principal Bench and now listed on 02.12.2020. The applicant is at liberty to represent his viewpoint to the said Committee through the State PCB.
