9. Prohibition of using fishing vessel which are not licensed.
- No fishing vessel which is not licensed under section 10 shall, after the date of commencement of this Act (hereinafter referred to as "the said date"), be used for fishing in any specified area:Provided that nothing in this section shall apply to any fishing vessel existing on the said date for a period of six months from the said date or such longer period as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify.
