Section 416(1) in Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919
(1)If any difficulty arises in giving effect to the provisions of this Act, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporation Laws (Amendment and Special Provision) Act, 1994, the State Government may, by an order published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, make such provisions, not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, as amended by the Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporation Laws (Amendment and Special Provision) Act, 1994 as appear to them to be necessary or expedient for removing the difficulty:Provided that no such order shall be made after the expiry of two years from the date of commencement of the Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporation Law s (Amendment and Special Provision) Act, 1994.
