Section 12A(1) in Himachal Pradesh University Act, 1970
(1)There shall be paid to the Vice-Chancellor such salary as the Chancellor may, in consultation with the State Government, determine from time to time and he shall be entitled, without payment of rent, to use a furnished residence throughout the term of office and no charge shall fall on the Vice-Chancellor personally in respect of the maintenance of such residence.
