Section 11(1) in Sardar Patel University Act, 1955
(1)The Vice-Chancellor shall be the Principal executive and academic officer of the University and shall, in the absence of the Chancellor, preside the meeting of the Senate and any convocation of the University. He shall be an ex-officio member and the Chairman of the Syndicate [and of the Academic Council] [These words were inserted by Gujarat 8 of 1966, Section 7(1).] and of such other authorities of the University of which he is a member. He shall be entitled to be present, with the right to address, at any meeting of any other authority of the University.
