Section 305(1) in The Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957
(1)The Commissioner may define a line on one or both sides of any public street in accordance with the bye-laws made in this behalf and may, with the previous sanction of [a Corporation] [Substituted by Delhi Act 12 of 2011, section 2(a) for "the Corporation" (w.e.f. 13-1-2012)], redefine at any time any such regular line:Provided that, before according sanction [a Corporation] [Substituted by Delhi Act 12 of 2011, section 2(a) for "the Corporation" (w.e.f. 13-1-2012)] shall by public notice afford reasonable opportunity to the residents of premises abutting on such public street to make suggestions or objections with respect to the proposed redefined line of the street and shall consider all such suggestions or objections which may be made within one month from the date of the publication of the said notice:Provided further that the regular line of any public street operative under any law in force in any part of Delhi immediately before the commencement of this Act shall be deemed to be a line defined by the Commissioner under this sub-section.
