Section 79(1) in Tamil Nadu State Housing Board Act, 1961
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central Act I of 1894), the Government may constitute a Tribunal for the purpose of performing the functions of the court with reference to the acquisition of land for the Board under the said Act, for deciding disputes relating to levy or assessment of betterment fee and for deciding such other matters as may be prescribed.
