Section 2(c) in The Gujarat Educational Institutions (Regulation) Act, 1984
(c)"existing educational institution" means(i)an educational institution established before the commencement of this Act and maintained at such commencement;(ii)an educational institution established before a certificate leading to the grant of which such educational institution provides courses of instruction as specified in the Schedule by issue of a notification under section 4 and maintained at the issue of such notification;
